Launching of the Kampong Bolkiah Mini Library

The Kampong Bolkiah Mini Library was launched on Friday, 31 July 2009 at Bolkiah ´B´ Branch Office by Awang Haji Mohd Hanafi bin Pehin Orang Kaya Digadong Seri Diraja Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Abdul Rahman, a member of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Board of Directors-cum-Chairman of YSHHB Enhancing Socio-Economic Towards Zero Poverty Aid Project (PBSE). Also in attendance were other members of the Board of Directors, Managing Director, Managing Director Assistants and Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah officers and committee members of the Kampong Administration.
The aim of the establishment of the Mini Library is to cultivate and nurture a lifetime of reading habit among the Kampong Bolkiah residents as a way of creating a knowledgeable and creative community.
The library books are donated by several Ministries and Government Departments, Private Sectors and individuals such as Information Department, Public Relations Section of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, Hanafi Konsaltan Sdn Bhd, Islamic Dakwah Centre, Narcotics Control Bureau, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Brunei Museums Department and Brunei History Centre.
