Yayasan´s Donation to Fire Victims

One of the aims of the establishment of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah´s in the field of welfare is to assist the unfortunate ones such as those affected by natural disasters including fires.

 

On Saturday, 3 Zulhijjah 1430H corresponding to 21 November 2009, Yayasan and the Community Development Department, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports held a donation presentation ceremony at the At-Taqwa Hall, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Building for the fire victims.

 

Yayasan presented donations totalling B$10,000.00 to 9 families comprising of 32 family members that were affected by the fires in Kampong Pancha Delima, Brunei Muara District and Kampong Keramut Danau, Tutong District.

 

The fire victims receiving the donations were as follow:

 

On hand to present the donations was Dato Paduka Haji Ali Hashim bin Haji Daud, Managing Director of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.  Presenting the donations to the fire victims on behalf of the Community Development Department, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports was the Director of Community Development, Datin Hajah Adina binti Othman.

 

Also present were the officers of Yayasan and the government officers along with the recipents.
