The entire project and activity conducted by Yayasan in educational fields are focusing on the effort to enhance and develop educational field by providing educational and research support as well as providing infrastructure and educational service.
i. EDUCATION SUPPORT
- FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR FURTHER EDUCATION

- EDUCATIONAL INTERVENTION PROGRAMME
This financial support is in the form of monthly subsistence allowance and are given to private students (non-recipient of fund or scholarship from the government, private and other bodies) who are the subjects of His Majesty qualified to be given the opportunity to continue their studies in various fields in universities and Higher Educational Institutions locally and abroad that are certified by the government. This aid is intended to present more skilled and knowledgeable manpower that could contribute to the country´s development.
School stationery and equipment support are provided for the less fortunate students annually before the first school term begins. This support includes stationery, exercise book, work book, project appliances, school uniform, transport and examination fees.
The aim of this support is to help and give encouragement to the students of the less fortunate to perfectly continue their study, besides to ease the burden of their family expenses in providing the school necessities.
Besides, it is also given to assist the students who were involved in natural disasters subject to their requirements.
This programme is intended to help, guide and give motivations to the students from a lower income and less fortunate family to enhance their educational achievements for the future needs.
The first project conducted under the Educational Intervention Programme is by giving tuition classes and motivation workshop at weekends. This project is conducted in cooperation with volunteers who contributed services as teachers for the tuition classes.
ii. RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
One of Yayasan´s main objectives in educational field is to support research and development projects which are carried out by higher educational institutions and related agencies for the significance of scientific, technology and society development.
Sultan Omar ´Ali Saifuddien Memorial Lecture, for example, is one of the research and development projects that is organized by Yayasan in collaboration with the University Brunei Darussalam. This Sultan Omar ´Ali Saifuddien Memorial Lecture provides platform for the world prominent experts to share their thoughts and opinions as a source of knowledge for the citizen.
iii. "SULTAN´S SCHOLAR"
Introduction
"Sultan's Scholar" Scholarship Scheme is a scholarship scheme offered by the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Foundation to create a future generation of knowledgeable, skilled, disciplined and virtuous individuals for the future well-being of our religion, nation and monarch.
The Objectives of “Sultan’s Scholar”
• As an encouragement to students who obtained excellent results in examinations at Advanced Level or its equivalent.
• Encouraging potential students to enroll to courses preferred and prioritized by the Government of His Majesty from time to time.
• Giving due appreciation to the success of these students as a fundamental motivation to learn and work harder.
• Contributing to addition of the workforce that are capable and professionally trained for the future needs of the nation.
Terms, Conditions and Requirements
Eligible Scholarship Scheme "Sultan's Scholar" students must meet the following requirements:
Specific Requirement:
1. Must be the subjects of His Majesty The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam.
2. Must pass at least three (3) appropriate subjects with Grade A in the General Certificate of Education Brunei Cambridge Examination Advanced Level or its equivalent (recognized by the Ministry of Education, Brunei Darussalam). Certification for all the subjects should be obtained in one examination sitting only.
3. Must pass all subjects (Grade A) including the Malay language and a second language such as Arabic / English in General Certificate of Education Brunei Cambridge Ordinary Level Examination or similar qualifications recognized by the Government.
4. Must obtain at least eight (8) subjects with a rank of Mumtaz in the Higher Religious School Certificate examinations. Certification for all subjects should be obtained in one sitting only.
5. Must obtain the rank of Mumtaz in Malay language and a second language such as Arabic in Religious Education Certificate examination in one sitting.
The requirements are for those who pursue undergraduate courses in the field of Science and Engineering; Technology; Medicine; Economy & Finance, Social Science & Arts as well as Islamic Studies.
General Requirement:
1. Obtained an excellent school record.
2. Active in school through participation in events, activities as well as extra-curricular activities. Candidates should also possess excellent behavior and commendable personality.
3. Displaying excellent grasp and appreciation towards the Malay Islamic Monarch Concept.
4. Being accepted into top Higher Education Institutions/Universities recognized by the Government of Brunei.
5. Successful in screening stages, not engaged in politics and deviant activities, and certified fit through medical examination.
The “Sultan’s Scholar” Award
"Sultan's Scholar" scheme is offered to select students who obtained excellent results in General Certificate of Education Advanced Level or equivalent and pursuing their first degree courses in prestigious Universities identified by The Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Foundation and recognized by the Government of His Majesty the Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.

iv. YAYASAN SULTAN HAJI HASSANAL BOLKIAH SCHOOL
The establishment of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah School which comprises of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Kindergarten, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Primary School and Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Secondary School represents Yayasan involvement in offering educational services for contributing to the educational and manpower development of Negara Brunei Darussalam.
